What Is Full Mouth Reconstruction?

Full mouth reconstruction is a treatment plan that incorporates multiple restorative dentistry procedures. It is specifically designed to meet an individual patient's oral health needs and goals. Common treatments include dental implants and custom restorations to combat tooth loss, laser periodontics to overcome gum disease, and dental crowns to restore damaged teeth. Some full mouth reconstruction plans also include cosmetic treatments like veneers, but the primary purpose is restoring your smile to full health and function.

If you're interested in tackling a series of mainly cosmetic concerns instead, our dentists invite you to reach out about a smile makeover–the cosmetic dentistry equivalent of full mouth reconstruction.

Why Sheboygan Patients Choose Signature Dental

Dr. Chris Hill, one of our restorative dentists, received extensive training in full-arch reconstruction from leaders in the field. Our practice partners with some of the nation's top dental labs for the creation of premium restorations. Additionally, we offer sedation options to keep even the most complex care comfortable for you.

Featured Treatments Commonly Included in Full Mouth Reconstruction

Dental Crowns

A dental crown can restore a tooth that is damaged, recently treated for decay, or in need of additional support after root canal therapy. One of the most common treatments in dentistry, crowns are a reliable solution that lasts.

At Signature Dental, we have our very own CEREC® system, which allows us to design and craft fully customized dental crowns in-house, and often within a single office visit. Our dentists prefer porcelain for crowns because this premium material blends seamlessly with natural teeth and can withstand the force of your bite.

Dental Implants

Dental implants are dentistry's top solution for tooth loss. These prosthetic tooth roots are surgically anchored in the jaw in the same spots the natural tooth roots once were, preserving your jaw density and facial appearance. They hold dental restorations firmly in place—no slipping or sliding, as some patients with traditional dentures experience.

We can replace a single missing tooth with an implant-supported crown, several missing teeth in a row with an implant-supported bridge, or a full arch of missing teeth with an implant-supported denture. Implant treatment is highly customizable, so rest assured we will be able to meet your smile needs.

Gum Care

Gum disease can cause bad breath, gum recession, tooth loss, and a host of other oral health issues. Whether you're dealing with early-stage gingivitis or a complex case of periodontitis, our dentists can help you get back to a state of good health with gentle and effective gum disease therapy.

Our team uses diode lasers to perform gum care. These lasers provide a far better treatment experience than traditional tools like scalpels. With laser dentistry, we can complete gum treatments more quickly, more accurately, and with greater comfort than ever before.

Bruxism Treatment

Do you grind your teeth at night or during stressful moments of your day? Many people with bruxism (the official term for excessive clenching and grinding) don't even realize they have the condition, but it can take a toll on your bite and your appearance if left unaddressed.

We don't want our patients to come out on the other side of full mouth rehabilitation only to have their exceptional results undone by grinding that wears the teeth down. We can incorporate bruxism treatment into your full mouth plan so you can both find relief from your symptoms and enjoy restorative results that really last.

We Accept Insurance Key Info on Coverage for Full Mouth Reconstruction

Signature Dental accepts dental insurance from most providers. We will gladly file on your behalf and help you make the most of your coverage. We also accept cash, checks, and major credit cards.

Our full mouth reconstruction patients should know that purely elective treatments (like veneers) are not covered by insurance. Neither are dental implants, but any restorations your implants support (crowns, bridges, and dentures) will be eligible for coverage. Nonetheless, the team at our Sheboygan, WI, dental office is dedicated to making quality care affordable, so we'll work with you to find the best solution.
